This blog is the combination of 2 things I am intensely passionate about; golf and data.
I have a 20 year career in technology and was working on analytics back when it was simply called “reporting”. For the past 8 years I have been leading teams of analysts, statisticians, developers and data scientists. I currently serve as the Director of Analytics at a large privately held company with a global workforce of 43,000 employees. Prior to that I was in the same role at a publicly traded Fortune 500 company.
I started golfing in my late teens and became hooked. The sights. The sounds. The feeling of pulling off a shot exactly how you imagined it would be. There is no greater game!
Interesting golf accomplishments:
- 2 hole-in-ones that were 6 days apart
- Made birdie on a par 5 without the ball ever touching a blade of grass. Fairway bunker, to fairway bunker, to greenside bunker, then swooshed the bunker shot
